Building your personal brand is essentially about taking control of your narrative. It’s the impression you leave behind, what shows up when someone searches your name on the web, and what colleagues say about you when you leave the room. Here's why building a personal brand matters:

GenAI can build your personal website
After obtaining the domain minnieott.com, I used AI to build this website equipped with a chatbot and blogger. Here are the options I tried:
- Option 1: Lovable built it for free, payment is needed to fix security issues (screenshot)
- Option 2: Claude Desktop built it with paid Pro plan, it asked a lot of questions (screenshot)
- Option 3: Google AI Studio built it for free, paid Pro plan is needed to do more. Preview app/code helps before publishing.
Google AI Studio wins IMHO
In my opinion, Google AI Studio gave the best results, so I went with it. Here are the 3 major steps:
- Google AI Studio generated the website using my resume.
→ It generated a contact form which emails me about submissions.
→ It generated a blog with author workspace.
→ It created a chatbot.
→ It implemented search engine optimization for LLM visibility. - Gemini generated the banner for the blog.
- Claude in Chrome configured Google Cloud and DNS settings.
Step 1: Google AI generated the website using my resume
I opened Google AI Studio clicked on Build > New app , uploaded my resume and entered this prompt:
Build my personal website using a light background with accent
using my favorite color #CCCCFF based on the attached resume
and the portfolio of apps that I have built…
It generated a Contact form
It automatically created a Contact form, and I gave specific instructions to email me the submitted form using this prompt:
When "Send a Direct Message" form is submitted,
send email to [MY_EMAIL_ADDRESS]
I also asked it to allow people to book a meeting with me on my Google Appointment Calendar using this prompt:
In the Contact page, add a booking capability using
this Google Appointment Calendar [MY_GOOGLE_APPOINTMENT_CALENDAR]
It generated a blog with author workspace
After several iterations, I gave instructions to create the blog using this prompt:
Add the ability to create and publish blog entries on the app's /blog path
I gave further instructions to allow me to create and update blog entries at blog/author and make sure only I can login using my Google account.
It created a chatbot
I used this prompt to create the chatbot (Mochi AI) inspired by my real-life Mochi Pancake Samoyed, using his real picture as logo which I uploaded to Google AI Studio code under the public directory.

that can answer questions about Minnie using the information on the website
and the publication at https://www.google.com/books/edition/JMX_Programming/baVQAAAAMAAJ
After some tweaking Mochi chatbot was trained to have built-in capabilities: alt_text
It implemented SEO for LLM visibility
I used this prompt to make the app visible to large language models (LLM) like Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity:

Why Google AI Studio?
Google AI Studio is great for building websites because:
- It's easy to use -- just tell it what you want to build, its purpose and capabilities
- It knows when to create a database -- Firebase is integrated and it's automatically configured
- It has version control -- timeline of changes that were made to the app can also be submitted to GitHub
Step 2: Gemini generated the banner for the blog
I asked Gemini to generate the banner for the blog using this prompt:
Create a modern logo with the words "Architecting Humanity" using font Montserrat and these colors:
Blue (Primary): #3333FF
Sage: #679B76
Main Background: #FCFCFD
After some tweaking instructions, it came up with the final design.
Why Gemini?
Gemini has Nano Banana which is excellent at generating images and videos.
Step 3: Claude in Chrome configured Google Cloud, DNS
At first I manually configured DNS settings for minnieott.com but my husband pointed out www.minnieott.com should work too, so I asked Claude in Chrome to do it for me while I made dinner. Here’s the prompt that I used:
Make https://www.minnieott.com and
http://www.minnieott.com redirect to
https://minnieott.com
It worked in Chrome but not in Safari, so I asked Claude in Chrome to fix it:
This works in Chrome but not in Safari. Do you know why?
Claude fixed it before I even finished making dinner.
Why Claude in Chrome?
Claude in Chrome reads the context in the Chrome browser where it was invoked, and it automatically generates and executes the plan with your approval.
